TEMPORARY HOUSING

Temporary housing solution will be used to provide a quick turnaround solution for children victims of sex and labour trafficking coming from crisis areas in Africa.

• Housing, medical, kitchen, ablution, education & recreation rooms are all catered for to provide quick and immediate support.

​

• Light weight and fast on site assembly without the necessity for trades people.

• Modular design: when interlocked, can create custom layouts for field hospitals and schools.

​

• Units can be taken down and relocated for future use

​

To accommodate a total population of 10,000 people, the design will be based on house clusters:

​

• Clusters of 500 people.

• Up to 14 people per unit housing design.

• Clusters distribution within close travel distance of each other with central community hub key facilities: medical clinic, schools, markets, etc).

PERMANENT HOUSING

Temporary housing solution will transition to permanent housing once the development of agriculture activities will allow to generate profits, employment, and reach self sustainability

• The permanent village will be developed to score United for Smart Sustainable Cities Standard (U4SSC) goals. The first and only City Standard supported by United Nations Agencies and Programmes based on a KPI Structure of 92 indicators, 54 core and 38 advanced.

• ​With the expertise and support of United Cities, the permanent solution will support the local community with more jobs, live-work spaces and technologies that brings meaningful sustainability and better living to the local and global community.

AGRICULTURE

Agriculture will allow to educate, empower, enrich and bring needed capital to the distressed population. It will give them a purpose.  

​

• With the expertise and support of Vihara Foundation and CO2 Evolve, agri-investments products and model will be defined based on environment and resources.

​

• The immediate prospects for large scale agri-investments are (but not limited to) industrial hemp, kenaf, moringa, water hyacinth harvesting for biofuels, agro-forestry, high-value timber, commercial cropping of mangoes, citrus, cocoa, coffee, tea.

​

• The agriculture set-up will include grass pelleting for needed animal husbandry: chicken, goats, beef, dairy.

FOCUS EDUCATION

The development of standard and professional skillsets is key to reach economic and self-sustainability goals of the community and ensure stability.

​

• With the expertise and resources of Vihara Foundation, CO2 Evolve and Tomorrow Foundation, education programs will be defined, implemented, and partners onboarded for technical support, mentoring, monitoring. 

​

• Based on preliminary assessments, the entire education program is set to have a duration of approximatively 3 years.

​

Education will cover the following areas:

​

• Use and management of community systems: transport, waste, water, energy, food preparation, storage, etc.

​

• Core Agriculture business: driving equipment, harvesting, transformation, accounting, marketing, human resources, etc.

• Agricultural diversification to add new source of income and for own consumption: fruits, essential oils with productive trees such as Moringa, creams, bio-products…

• Environment preservation: reforestation, recycling.
